Insurance for watch parcels - Advice needed

As above. I am in the process of negotiating a deal for a watch that's around the £4k mark (my Milgauss) and wondered which carriers will cover the whole value. I understand that RMSD only covers up to £2.5k and that if the item is worth more and goes missing that they won't cover anything.

Also am aware that parcel pro no longer cover individuals, so what options are available?

    Many thanks in advance

That’s also my understanding of RMSD but will be keen to hear from those better informed than me...

I thought Parcel Pro does still cover those individuals who have already opened an account with them (before the changes)?

Thanks for the DHL recommendation. I have checked and they do indeed cover jewellery/watches up to £4K

Thanks for that, but I hadn't opened an account before they changed. I wish I had now!

It seems anything you send over 2.5k isn't insured,so you may as well post using carrier pigeon.

I had a similar post earlier this week with regards to a top up insurance over RM 2.5k max cover, but again pointless. So for anyone posting anything valued over 2.5k needs to look at all other delivery options outside of the PO.

MBE (mailbox etc) do insurance and shipping - expect 2-3% of value insurance cost plus shipping itself
