Chewton Glen is a favourite of my wife’s not my cup of tea but she goes with the girlies https://www.chewtonglen.com
Got some holiday to burn, so looking for a couple of nights in a decent spa hotel with the good lady.
Been to Rudding Park which was very nice, so looking for something with a good restaurant and spa facilities.
Any recommendations?

I tend to enjoy either Nirvana or Pennyhill Park.
Edit, saw restaurant so Pennyhill all the way.

Celtic Manor if you fancy a trip over the Severn Bridge.
I took Mrs P to Cowley Manor near Cheltenham in Dec. Recommended

Depending on your budget and distance , I d go for The Grove in Watford or www.thegilpin.co.uk
Two stunning places, brilliant facilities and spas that are superb .
Penny Hill Park, Surrey. Celtic Manor or Marriot St Pierre just over the bridges in that Wales, The Lensbury in that London are all nice and Celtic Manor can be incredible value for money if you get one of their many offers.
I went to Celtic Manor recently for a day trip with the wife and the Spa facilities were good and the price of treatments was very reasonable.
However, I would highly recommend Longleat Forest Spa as it is by far the best Spa I have visited. It has a few decent sauna's and a number of steam rooms (Indian steam room was my favourite). I haven't stayed longer than a day as I live local but here's a link.

Rockcliffe Hall near Darlington is nice, although may be a bit far away depending on where you are based...
Rockliffe Hall and Seaham Hall, if your trying to impress your other half you’ll not fail with either of these two places, absolutely two of the best spa hotels in the country...
Raithwaite Hall is nice, it's a great location between Sandsend and Whitby.

We have stayed at this two - both are mega and both hav Michelin star restaurants.

Just booked a mega bargain at The Grand Hotel in York for a few nights next week. Not in the sam league as the other two, but it looks lovely for £95 a night!
Some great suggestions thanks.
Based just to the south of Nottingham, so fairly central, don’t mind 3-4 hour drive for the right place.

Another vote for Gilpin, but I prefer https://www.brimstonehotel.co.uk
Absolutely sublime location and the Spa just fab. Amazing walks on your doorstep. 12 minute drive to the Drunken Duck. Hard to beat
Pennyhill is nice, I got married there 7 years ago (it's only 10 minutes away) and SWMBO had membership before we had kids. Every so often (family birthdays, Mother's Day if I remember to book) we go to the hotel for breakfast on a Sunday with the live music.
I'm not interested in Spas personally but the wife says it's a pretty good one. Apparently the afternoon tea (gluten free - she's a coeliac) is better at The Four Seasons in Dogmersfield. No idea if there's a Spa there though but in my opinion, the view is nicer.
We're off to the Gainsborough in Bath later this month - did it this time last year too and the full body Swedish massage was magical...
It's the only Spa hotel in the world with a direct feed to the bedrooms from a natural thermal spa spring (due to the owners buying the water company before investing in the hotel refurb IIRC)

We stayed in the Grand as a "baby-moon" before my daughter's birth. Was excellent value for money. We didn't eat in the restaurant, but ate out in York. The swimming pool etc were nice (gym a bit limited) and the hotel room was great.
Would echo the comments on value for money and the city itself is lovely.
Also recently stayed in the Corinthia which is right next to Embankment tube station in London. This was top class, has the largest spa in London, but the price does reflect that... great breakfast though!
Ragdale Hall isnt far from you and is recommended - https://www.ragdalehall.co.uk/
I've stayed at the Grand in York twice and visiting again shortly. If you can get a deal including dinner (small plates in The Rise, a casual restaurant) it is very well priced. There's also a (3 AA starred) formal restaurant if you want to indulge. Rooms are former (1930s) offices so quite spacious with decent bathrooms.
Just seen the program on TV about Bad Ragaz in Switzerland
That’ll do thanks!
