Samcri the fly in the ointment - there’s always one that goes down
He does look solid but a bad race for the Irish good things

I'll be there on the Tuesday and Wednesday as I have been for the last 18 years.

You can't oppose Altior & Buveur D'Air. I also think it likely that Apples Jade will win again...plus I quite like Presenting Percy in the RSA.

Had a £500 Double on Bouvoir D’air and Apple’s Jade. Let’s hooe Faugheen doesn’t miraculously find form for the Irish...

I’m there Tuesday and Thursday. Ground is looking poor and hopefully it will hold for Friday.

Should be a good meeting despite there being some good horses not running.

Looks like the superstar Altior may not run

So for the two days I was there it went quite well....
Tuesday- I had Summerville Boy & Kalashnikov both e/w,Footpad,Beware the Bear e/w,Melon e/w,Rarhvinden & Ms Parfois both e/w and Mister Whitaker.
    Wednesday - I had Black Op e/w,Presenting Percy,Barra e/w,Altior,Tiger Roll

I didnt bet anything yesterday or today as mega busy and didn't have the chance but i did just manage to watch the Gold Cup......excellent result!

That was a sensibly run Gold Cup from the first two jockeys. Not out to set any records and not cutting each other’s throats which is testament to the fact they maintained their positions throughout.

Managed to make back what I lost on the first day and a little bit more...

I always have a bet Cheltenham week (only week i do), nothing major £10/day spread over a few bets.

On Tuesday I had a £2 each way (£4 total stake) on a fivefold. They amazingly all came in first and won £5,000.87!!!!

I have never ever won anything and couldn't believe my luck..... suffice to say I will now never bet again as thats all my betting luck gone now.

    So ends another fab week
The champion hurdle was a certainty
Altior and samcro my big winners on Wednesday
I backed Gordon Elliot pretty much blind all week with some great returns
Native River became banker material as the week rolled on as he’d won the welsh national on. Ittomleds ground
    He won well
    More Elliot winners....
Then n the last.... the first three home! Kaboom

Biggest loser was apples jade but well in front

    Bring on aintree

I thought Mite Bite would have Native River. Might Bite was the one travelling better around two or three furlongs out.

Maybe it was Native River’s experience on he flat that saw him through.

I went on Tuesday and had places in all but two races, down overall though.

Weds, I only had one outside bet which lost.

I went again on Thursday and had three winners (10/1, 12/1, 5/1) and a couple of places so this more than made up for Tuesday and put me in profit overall.

Had the winner in the GC yesterday and a place in the first and third race but as I wasn’t there I wasn’t really spending as much time researching as I should have.

Overall a great week just a shame the ground wasn’t a bit firmer as it was really hacking up yesterday. Would like to have seen Cue Card finish and place (very somber atmos when he PU) and a real shame about Skeltons horses in the last. Roll on next year.

One final outing for Cue Card in the King George ?!?

Cue Card got a huge reception when he came in
Collin should really knock him on the head now
Such a high profile public horse.... god forbid he got injured for the sake of a win
