Short stay in Bangkok - things to do?

Heading off to Bangkok tomorrow for a couple of days. Any suggestions for stuff to do (we have a few things on our list).

    TIA

Do not hesitate to ask a Thai to help you cross the road if you’re walking.
If you take a touk touk make sure you know the way beforehand. They used to get (not sure this is still the case) petrol money for taking you to tourist traps.
If you have the time, a day on the river to the floating markets and to Kanchanaburi...

But I believe we have a few proper experts on Thailand so I’ll shut up and listen

Biggest thing to do...... keep your wits about you.

I like to think I am pretty switched on and I was done over within an hour. Don’t touch the yellow and green cabs.

I am sure you will have a great time.

Depending on the night, try to see a Muay Thai (Thai boxing). Fascinating to see how much the locals bet.

I would recommend going to the Banyantree rooftop restaurant for an evening drink but make sure you ask for the Moon bar and not the Vertigo dinning restaurant as the food is way over priced and just about average.

Also if you do happen to be there for the weekend the Chatuchak Weekend Market is the largest outdoor market in Thailand.

Go for a drink at the Sky Bar, amazing views and a cool breeze.

Just ask any taxi driver for the Dome and they'll take you there then get the lift to the top floor.

New York steak house for top wagyu steaks! The floating market is a good experience! Also Safari World is cool if you want to be surrounded by animals!!!! Siam plaza food court is good too for cheap variety of food.
