Vacant spot in the PAM box.

Having just obtained a 6 slot watch box for my Panerais I have a void to be filled. It would be nice to complete the "set". What would you buy to complete? I am thinking of 233 dot dial, 232, or 587. All input appreciated. 20180223_180445.jpg

688 is a good suggestion. Sadly I am not rich enough for a 3646. And I would stress, needs to be a Panerai.....

The key is filling the void with something noteworthy and not simply doing it for the sake of visual completion or OCD concerns.

Been said previously, but for me the only thing missing is a 1940's case

You thought about the 662 Rob?
I'm very fond of mine. The coffee dial goes well with a lot if different straps.

It'll probably be no surprise to you that I would put forward this as an option - PAM368 - great 8 day movement (like your 346), titanium, tobacco dial/gold hands, no faffy date, quick change strap mechanism, destro (for variety), domed crystal, proper 47mm size, only 1 year of production, all the numbers on the dial....

Have to agree though that the 690, referred to above, looks rather special and a 389 would complement the others, and I would support the thought of a 233, although I personally prefer the AM/PM - I feel it's a little more balanced, plus you're certain the movement will be OK. Some of the dot dials had issues - which may or may not have been fixed.

    PAM233

    Pam389

    Enjoy the process!

Thanks to everyone for the input. There were some great ideas, and therein lies the problem, narrowing down to one. I am very much inclined to the 587, 40s case and MM dial.
But. So many interesting and dwsirable options. I may just get a bigger watch box........ And to think I had vowed to self that there would be no new watches in 2018.

What model was that? Looks like one of the nicest modern Panerai I’ve seen, along with the 425.

Thanks it is a 587, made in 2015, 1000 made. I like the 1940 case and the "feel" of the plexi.

Congratulations Rob - a great piece and although to a casula observer just the same any the others, we know that it's not.

How does it compare to the 422 for wearability/wrist presence?

    Enjoy :)

Hi Alun, it feels quite different. The plexi makes it lighter on the wrist, and I quite like the slimmer feel without the crown guard. I had tried a titanium 45mm 1940 case recently and I much prefer the 47mm.
I think I have a nice PAM collection now, but I do hanker after your 389.
    Rob
