    Degado vintage watch

Has anyone heard of an old watch company called Degado and if so can they offer me please some detail. Internet not coming up with anything much.

I’ve inherited an old non chrono version 17 jewels manual wind that’s a lovely rose gold and running most sweetly.

I want to know what I should cover it for insurance purposes.

    Thanks in anticipation

    Jim

A quick Google reveals not much as you say. I don't think you need to insure it specifically as the financial value doesn't look to be high.

Probably a Valjoux 7733/4 or Landeron 248 in a generic case made up by one of the hundreds of small makers of the 69s and 70s that gave up in the quartz revolution, depending on condition and style worth £300-600 I expect.
EDIT. If it’s sold gold case then it will be worth more obviously. Check EBay for asking prices for similar, maybe £1k ?

I don't think you need worry about insuring this one, highly doubt it has any real monetary value. Not meaning that rudely of course, I have several of this ilk that I wear and enjoy.

There's not a lot of info on Mikrolisk.

    http://www.mikrolisk.de/show.php?site=280&suchwort=degado&searchMode=exact &searchWhere=trademark#sucheMarker

I'm not sure there's a significant value there from an insurance perspective.
    In the Sotadic Zone, apparently.

thats great guys and thank you all very much - it suits me for it to be that way.

any more snippets would be handy to give a bit of history though.
