Same case as the update Datejusts
I’m still annoyed I missed the one in SC recently so have been looking again at these, as I have been on and off since about 2006...
I understand Rolex reintroduced them from about 2000-2011. Was the case the same size for this period? I really dislike the fatter lugs of the GMT and sports models since the supecase came out about 2008, and it looks like the Date-Justs have had a similar change over time. I can’t really handle one before buying (if I ever did) so any advice would be appreciated.
Same case as the update Datejusts
It's just a matter of time...
Just go try on a current 36mm datejust. It's the same case.
One thing to keep in mind - the black coating used on the bezel numbers of the newest version is really wear prone. Look at that area closely before buying, if worn out numbers bother you.
Thanks guys, at least a 36mm DateJust is easy to find!
Are turn-o-graphs not easy to come by at ADs?
Weren't they discontinued in 2011?
(Edit: here's the piece I got that date from https://www.timepiecechronicle.com/f...x-turn-o-graph)
How long it took ADs to sell stocks is another matter. I recall hearing of them still being available quite recently.

It's been a while since I've seen one in the USA.
I've got a black faced one and can confirm its wears very well for small sounding 36mm.
Arguably a perfect size for everyday use and IMHO the PCL's, fluted bezel and flashes of red combine really well to create a watch that works really well from beach to board room.
And yes I realise that sounds like a cheesy tag line from an advert.
