Sorry didn't realise you had a low post count as it doesn't show people post counts on the the app's I use unless you click on the users profile.

Talking of post counts I've just hit 2000, to much nattering today through boredom Lol, just shows what a great forum and community we have here as I've never got anywhere near that on forum's.

I’ve noticed the usual eBay uk search for the vanilla price of £245 from gizmo /citi etc has gone cold.

There were on the 2 Irish eBay sites earlier as I couldn’t make my mind up, wonder if they will be back up tomorrow at inflated prices

Have always wanted a SARB017 Alpinist for its unique dial colour.
The usual ebay sellers have removed their listing so it could be limited numbers out there.Hopefully there's still a few available with other suppliers.

Looks like prices are going up already.

I paid £280 for mine late last year.

Yes I saw this earlier too. Gizmo and the other usual seller of the SARB line at best prices on eBay are now showing as 'out of stock' on the Alpinist, 033 and 035. Then I saw this ad with the highly inflated Alpinist price. I got mine off Gizmo for £290 last year, glad I acted when I did. I bet the 033/35 reappear at more sensible prices soon.

I’m now looking at the SARX blue face. I think the SARB is a little small too.

I guess it depends on your wrist size of course, but I have the 017 and although the case is 38mm it wears bigger to me. I've measured it and with crown and crown guards it's 42mm. The 033 wears slightly smaller as it has no crown guards, but it has more face as the 017 has to accommodate the inner compass bezel which reduces the dial size a tad. They both have a lovely curve on the lugs that make them very comfy and stylish looking. My wrist is 6.5" and to me these watches are the ideal size, but it's horses for courses.

Black dial is more versatile I think, stick it on a tan leather strap and it's an every day wearer. The cream dial is a bit stuck in the dressy camp for me. Glad I ordered my 033 at the last minute, they've gone like hot cakes the last 48 hours.

Quite agree with you, just wish I took the chance to get the 033. But I do like a blue dial, I think it was a 045. Not available now.

Agree, the black is more versatile and less formal, do you think the white would wear larger?

Estimated delivery 10-24 April. 6 weeks seems like a long time for them to have your money. Plenty of time for them to source the watches I suppose....

Same here never felt the Alpinist nor the hype surrounding it. MM300 I like but not above 1.5k, for sure.

Not sure if it’ll wear larger, it will be more noticible. Definitely more of a dress watch.

    I’m off to check eBay.

No I didn’t, still think 38mm case is a bit on the small side.

I love the look of the SARX045 and know that’s the one I’ll go for, it has a blue face that I like.

Has to wait a bit though as I’ve just booked a holiday to the Canaries.

    I have a SQ100 which is 38mm and I feel it’s small. Hence 40mm SARX.

Mine is 6.5" so near enough same size and this is my 033 on me

It would be a perfect size on you. The lugs are beautifully curved to hug the wrist, it's a classic sized watch that doesn't wear small at all.
