Not many were made and the B29 had superior performance in most cases. The Dominator is known for one reason as outlined in the article.
A very sad story among thousands of sad stories during the war.
It kind of looks like a B24, B17, and B26 all rolled in to one design.
As a kid (1990/1991) I visited Kissimmee and in the junk yard was the rear end of a PB4Y-2, the aircraft from which the B32 was developed. I think they ended up using this part to restore a B24.
As an aside I own an original M422a jacket worn by a PB4Y-2 crewman on service during the war.
