Just seen my first Explorer II with the orange hand in the wild. Looked very nice but large!

Told my local dealer I'd be interested in a Polar Explorer11 if they had one in. Rang me Friday to say they had one. It wears big on my wrist but had to have it. Just love the look of it so far.

Is that a new one? I've tried a new one and it wears too big for me. The smaller older version fits perfectly.

Large case, extra large maxi everything. That's a hard pass for me - even at 40mm.

Yes its the new 42mm one. Looks bigger in the picture than it does in real life. Thought it would be too big but its fine.

Honestly, this place is a nightmare.

There I was minding my own business flitting between doing some work and browsing casually on TZ and before I know it I've read this thread and made an offer for a Polar 16570 on Chrono 24 within minutes.

Well I don't have a white faced watch, its about £2,500 cheaper than the equivalent 16710 and where better to put your money than SS Rolex sports watches!

    Nice work!

You'll have to post some pics up when it arrives.

Personally not a huge fan of the Explorer 2, one of my best mates has one and although I can appreciate the obvious quality, aesthetically it doesn't do it for me. Which is mad as the Explorer 1 is my dream watch! So if I had your problem that would be my answer, but the Omega is also very very nice and would be my second choice.

Love explorer one but too small for me - explorer II is nice - both old and new . On another note, Tudor Ranger and Heritage is good looking and larger. Not explorer but similar look.....

I have a Tudor Heritage already and it's just not doing it for me anymore.

16570 Exp II in Black for me if I had the choice or even better the 16550, the red 24h hand just pops against the black and wearable with anything, I want to like the polar but I have to face it I’m a dark dial watch lover.

Well done OP in getting another Seamaster. On a tool/ go anywhere watch I've got to have a date, so that's the Explorer out. Whilst the Explorer 2's GMT function is useful a diver's bezel for timing things I find even more useful. Plus the Omega's supercomfy bracelet is a winner.
