He must be going dizzy by now

What's more annoying than a blue bottle flying around your living room?

A Piper Cherokee doing circles around your house at 1400ft

I love flightradar24........it's great to be able to 'see' what the heck is making all that noise flying past the house. Works great in conjunction with my SAM set-up ;-)

Yes agree, quite an addictive app, I sometimes pick up the Typhoon, there are no details apart from airspeed, altitude and lattitude, I watched him fly over the Irish sea once very low then go into a vertical climb to around 1000ft in seconds

We get lots of commercial flights over at 20,000ft plus, as we are under one of the main routes. We are also slap bang under a military route too, but they come over at roof top height and don't appear on flightradar24 at all - they are flying back and forth to Donna Nook bombing range. The Tornados/F15s scare the heck out of you sometimes.......just a sudden humongous roar and they're gone.

Yeah they come up quick and unexpected I bet, and as you say most of the time don't have their transponders on

It's a Ryanair jet trying to find the runway at Manchester.

Very quick! You hear this rumbling sound building up very rapidly, then a huge roar and then obviously it fades. Makes my heart skip a beat every time. They are usually in pairs so you at least know to brace for the second one haha. Sometimes they fly by the front of the house, sometimes the back - really, really, close - and too damn fast for me to grab my camera. We also get Apaches and Chinooks sometimes - they're fun to watch. Then there are the private aircraft, the heli med and the gliders. I couldn't see any more aircraft if I lived at an airport :-)

The only military I've ever picked up on FR are refuelling tankers doing patterns over the North Sea.

Oh yes....I forgot to mention the free Red Arrows shows too :-)

The Typhoon climbs vertically at a steady 1000ft/second. Absolutely incredible

Aerobatics or practice upper air manoeuvres. We occasionally get calls when we practice, especially practice forced landings, from concerned locals.
