I have to say that I’d now go for the new steel GMT over a vintage alternative. What a lovely thing.

This is very nice with the black sunburst dial. A smart, and cheaper alternative to the Explorer, Airking and Date Just models.

It comes as something of a shock to see that Rolex are still capable of producing the odd watch of simple elegance. The tapering of the longer lugs works so much better with the 39mm than with the smaller versions. Nice.
