Indeed, no date would be simplest.
Just buy the model you like with 2415 (no-date) movement/dial and flip the dial (by clipping the feet and using dial dots).
That would be the easiest way indeed, but I would prefer to still have the date.

Are you positive about the need for a new date wheel? If the date window is going to be on the right hand side of the dial the date orientation is always going to be correct no matter which way up the watch is. If that makes sense.

It depends on position of dial feet. If they are in line, no problem. If they are not, you have a problem.
From what I read, there is a difference of 7 or 8 degrees .
