Five backers, three days to go.

I don't like treading on the dreams of others but I'm thankful it's an 'all or nothing' funding system for this one. I don't think he's a scammer, I think he genuinely believes he has made a watch all on his own, as he's been so honest about putting a prefab movement in a prefab case and just had some writing put on the dial. He also simply doesn't understand what makes a quality watch but seems convinced he does.

It has to be the 'same font as used by Rolex' which gives away the level of retardation we are dealing with here.

    This is an absolute classic.

I think you're being far too generous to this 'dreamer', he's a shyster, pure and simple...

I can only assume you've not read the whole thread, including his dalliance with pimping!

By the looks of it he is going to "make" his watch regardless of the Kickstarter project. He has already received dials and seems to be selling them through Twitter.

Watch out Rolex, McManus is coming after you.

Also he has been banned 11 times on watchuseek under different names, maybe he will be seen here soon in the forum of the banned.

Has anybody got the photoshop skills required to produce a picture of the watch with 'Sperminator' across the face?

I sometimes wish there was a 'like' button here, this is one of those moments. Well done.

What to do when your kickstarter fails completely... Go to the wild-west of crowdfunding Indiegogo of course!

Now with a reduced price... Feels like a going-out-of-business sale before it's even got started.

$60! That's a fair old reduction from the original 350 Euros. He's also back on Kickstarter - the comments section is worth a read: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects...-irel/comments

Enjoyed reading those, wish the deleted ones still remained. What a tool.

Hmm really going back and forth in my mind as to whether or not to buy a McAnus at this reduced price. Made in Ireland, presumably a small town in the Urals.

The man comes across as just a little bit insane... think of everything he could achieve if he put all this energy and dedication into a legitimate endeavour!!

It gets better. Apparently McAnus bought all the parts from Meranom then opened a Paypal dispute to get his money back: http://forums.watchuseek.com/f10/kic...m-4673381.html
