Yep. Saw the end of an episode where the final task was to make an Egyptian khopesh. Very American but quite interesting. Need to series link it.
Episode 3 and 4 were on Blaze recently and it’s turning out to be pretty good. If you haven’t heard of it it’s a competition between blacksmiths to make the best blade over a couple of rounds whittling them down to two competitors. Those two competitors then return to their own forge to make a sword of a particular style and then return to the studio for a final test and judging.

Is Owen Bush still part of the program?
'Against stupidity, the gods themselves struggle in vain' - Schiller.
He was at the beginning I think. Amazing craftsman.

I watched about 5 episodes in a row of this on a business trip in the US once (blame the jet lag) and really enjoyed it. Some proper craftsmanship, at least seems that way, and some hilarity during the testing. Not sure about the slightly creepy judge who tests the weapons though - ‘it cuts...’

Just spotted something else called Big Giant Swords which looks like fun. Setup on the DVR to record tonight.
