Damasko Black v Damasko Orange

I have mainly black watches in my collection and am considering the DA43 rather than the DA46, as something different.

I’ve read mixed reviews about the lume dials. Are they reasonable?

Also, has anyone been brave enough to go for the orange versions?

I've a DA47 and would say the lume was distinctly average. Great VFM though and a top tool watch (ie the watch, not the wearer).

Ha. I prefer the white face though, better contrast with the steel imo. Might be good to have some variety!

The lume on my DA47 is fit for purpose, its not a torch like a Seiko though.

They are fabulous watches. I love my Damasko :-)

The case and bezel seem impenetrable. The dial readability is off the scale. Wears really well on the wrist.

The DA46 black ^^^ is pretty stealthy looking but the White edges it. Great bezel action too.

I love the white, but the date window being black holes in the dark when lume is glowing really ruins it for me - despite it being a small percentage of actual wear time.

I really love the idea of a full lume dual and always come back to these.

Never having owned anything full lume, always worried about looking a bit of an idiot coming into a room after being out in the sunshine - sometimes a seiko or panerai lume stands out on my wrist, I sometime wonder if I’d look like a small child with a hugely glowing watch strapped to my wrist, a bit like glowing stars on the ceiling at night.

Think I’d love to have both colour variants if I could as they look so different.

Frustratingly I placed an order with Gnomon for the DA46 with 12hr bezel only to be told this morning that it’s out of stock. I’d be happy with the DA42 provided it has the 12hr bezel so fingers crossed that is in stock!
