PSA: Ebay offer Sell for £3 Max

Ebay are running their "sell for £3 max" offer again, available until 22/01/18 23:59:59 GMT. Handy if anyone has a watch or two they wanted to list, but were put off by the fees. Also, if you have an auction running, you can cancel and relist it using the offer. Hope this helps someone.

Do you not get 'fined' for that by them? I recall someone with a watch listing ending it, and eBay then demanding a few hundred pounds for it, despite it not having sold through eBay. Presumably they were claiming their advertising had sold it or suchlike.

If we recall the same item the item the seller sold it elsewhere and didn’t end the eBay auction. Someone on eBay was successful in their bid and the seller cancelled the sale. eBay said tough luck and demanded money.

Ahh ok, gotcha. Don't think I saw the entire story then! Good to hear it's not a standard practice of theirs (it wouldn't have surprised me if it was).

Can you just accept the offer then auto relist and still get the offer?

You have to accept the offer first, don’t just list or it’ll charge full price at the end.

Weird I tried it and getting this message.
Unfortunately, you can no longer sign up for this promotional offer because it has expired.

Thanks for the heads up. Got a few non-watch bits & pieces I was going to stick on eBay. For some reason they send me these offers, but they don't email me. The notification just goes in my eBay inbox, which I never check. It's pretty annoying. Missed the last one because of that. I've probably ticked one too many "never spam me" checkboxes in the communication preferences.

    Cheers - time to ditch a load of watches...again :( :(

But aren’t most of the eBay users now using sales section ? It seems it with all the stupid comments people seem to post on people’s sales listings recently 🤭🤭🤭
