    Bradystraps - Delivery?

I made an order from Bradystraps, here to the UK on boxing day and nothing turned up as yet. Wondered if anyone had any experience of delivery times from them and this might be normal..

    Cheers

From what I remember when I ordered a few years ago, it took a very long time to be delivered.

Thanks. Should add probably that I ordered other stuff from the good ol' US of A on the same day and all long since delivered. Hey Ho!
Have also shot them a quick e-mail so will see how that goes.

I ordered something from the US on eBay the same time and it's only just got to the point of me getting the customs charge notification.

I guess Christmas is busier than usual...

For a supposedly 1st world country, the USPS does seem pretty slow (from prior experience), but most of the delay for me this time was HMCR and PF.

Of course, Bradystraps isn't a massive operation, so he (or they ) might have been on holiday over the Christmas period!

    Gotcha.

Actually a response arrived pretty much right away to my e-mail from Todd @ Bradystraps, as you mention he'd had time out over Christmas and the order wasn't posted until Jan 8th. So, it is on the way....

    Cheers!

I ordered a Brady sailcloth in January 2014 - looking back at my e-mails it was 17 days from the order before they even shipped it, and as I recall it took a while to arrive after the shipping notification too.

Mine took a couple of weeks, which reminds me – I need a new sailcloth

    Thanks both.

Their sailcloth straps seem well reviewed, so I'm hoping all good!

I've been interested in his straps but I hate paying heaps of charges on import (don't mind the VAT, it's that horrendous made-up 'collection fee' I can't stomach).

How did people who've ordered from him get on in this regard?

No charge. It's below the VAT threshold, unless you order a few.

They are superb straps and so easy to change. I have a WTB for one as sometimes people order a few and have spares or don't get on with them. I have bought a couple second hand, but if nothing happens I will order one from Brady on their e-bay listing.

I’m not surprised the strap hasn’t arrived yet - mine took over two weeks to arrive and it wasn’t ordered at Christmas...

They’re great straps - I bought a blue one as an alternative strap for my Navitimer World and I think it works really well

I ordered from them and sent to my brother who lives in the US. Comms was a bit patchy although their initial response was good, it was less so after I placed the order and paid the money

Is that from Brady, or just a generic sailcloth strap? I've never seen Bradystraps in any other colour than black.

Well I never... I didn't know about the blue or indeed the website. I bought from his Ebay page, where only black are on offer.

Fine straps but buy them on the forums.
Obviously someone has to buy them new but I'll leave that to someone with more patience than me.

Yes, clearly the wait for the one you want to come up on the forum will be shorter than buying direct.

But it's a different kind of waiting...

    Yes it’s a Brady, Simon.

I really don’t think waiting a couple of weeks is a problem - I bought it from their website.

Ah. That actually might be a problem.. too big. Looks like size is 21mm and I have a 22mm strap.

In the words of Homer J. Simpson.. 'D'oh!'

And if it doesn't suit you, I was about to order a 22m as well

It wasn't a back door sales thread, but in the interests of being open I'm passing this on to Wallasey Runner who no doubt will make good use of it!

Guess I'll be waiting again (drums fingers...)

    Ah of course. Splendid!

All's well that ends well and all that.
