RIP Delores. The Cranberries were, in my humble opinion, one of the best bands of the 90s.

An incredible talent, gone too young. Her voice was one of the defining sounds of the 90s for me. I'm listening to her now, she was amazing.

have not been on here in a while, due to work etc.

but very sad news indeed, for me she was a game changer in woman's vocals and song writing, in what had become a very bland music scene,

    RIP

But you see, it's not me
    It's not my family
In your head, in your head, they are fighting
With their tanks, and their bombs
And their bombs, and their guns
In your head, in your head they are crying

wonderful lyrics from Zombie of course, but these songs do it all for me in regards of vocals and harmony's, and reminds me of being a child in Glasgow, grown from Irish Grandparents.

Very sad indeed, such an iconic female voice of the 90’s.
With her unique and distinctive vocals she was obviously
the star in a successful Irish band that had successive hits in the charts.
A stunningly beautiful woman that sadly fought her demons for many years.

    RIP Delores

Mine too. Saw her in the 90’s when the Cranberries supported REM and she was particularly good.

Shocking news. I remember listening to the cranberries on repeat in the 90s. Ode to my family is an amazing song.

I was lucky enough to see her in July 1994 at a festival in Ireland. She had got married 2 weeks earlier and came on stage wearing her wedding dress. She got a fantastic reaction from the crowd. Lovely voice and a loss.

Saw them in concert too in 1996 I think, wonderful live, she had an amazing voice, a sad loss for Music.
