    Dealer prices on SD4K ?

Evening all, not a stealth sales post at all but I’m interested in trade prices for an SD4K. 2015, box and papers, not mint but not used to hammer nails with.

I’ve been offfered a quote for my SD4K that seems somewhat low (and I’m expecting it to be beaten down). It’s not watchfinder but looking at the dealer prices and private sales I’m wondering if a private sale will ultimately be more worthwhile (with the associated problems that potentially brings of course).

Incidentally the price offered against another watch seems unrealistically high so I’m left wondering if I’m missing something?

    cheers

I’ve been offered £6500 against the SD, just wondering if that’s good, bad or indifferent. The other watch isn’t important and I won’t tell

Too low. You would get much more private sale.

    £7500 should be easily achievable.

That was my thought also. I didn’t expect as much as a private sale but that felt very low and I’ll try elsewhere I think.

Agreed too low. I got a derisory quote from WF for my SD4k which was 7-7.2k for a 2017 watch, which is around £2.5k less than they would sell it for.

I'd estimate £7,500 to £8000. Strong market. Keep it and you'l have a great watch and a long-term bargain.

I thought was about right/fair for a Trade bid. I wouldn't get too hung up on what they advertise it for or sell it for personally...

Agree to a certain extent but not sure these will go up to crazy prices. Will stay in line with other modern Rolex watches though.

£7500 all day long. If you listed it here at £6.5k it would be gone in 30 seconds and your inbox would be full.

I have the same age watch which I reckon should get 7300-7500 easily enough (if I wanted to sell it)
I’m on the list for an SD50, when that arrives I’ll see which I prefer.....

Thanks Gents, that was my thinking in terms of the offer on this. I’ll think on and decide what I want to do now (which is categorically not take the dealer offer).

:) Love that film, single handedly responsible for me drinking Cappuccino even when I didn’t like coffee at the time.
