I actually thought this was lost forever but found it whilst having a clear out after christmas. My first 'decent' watch, bought in 1990 and worn for about 5 or 6 years. Swapped the orange rubber strap for bracelet, new battery and a bit of a clean and I've been wearing it on and off for a few weeks. It was in the original box with papers. If only I'd had the cash for a SS Daytona in 1990......

    Looks great, happy to help.

Just posted this on my IG so thought I’d post it here (as I do t tend to much)

My freshly serviced (last night) Seiko SQ, lovely dial and great Watch. The case is actually quite big which I like (as most quartz pieces are so slim). If anyone’s familiar, the case is pretty much the same as a 6139-7030 so a nice little chunk for a quartz Watch.

This arrived this morning so on the wrist for a while...never had one before. First thoughts are that it is very light, very legible and feels good.

My new GW-S5600 with the carbon fibre strap and jelly bezel. Solar atomic in a slightly smaller form factor than the usual squares and weighing in at 47 gms. I hope everyone has a relaxing and fun weekend.

Ha! Thanks :-) It's from December 1978 and is in great, all original, condition. The lume on the dial, hands and bezel is fabulous! It's a keeper.

Its a good combination, I remembered it because at the time they did a couple of limited watches and one of the toy makers released an action figure with each of the limited watches in 1/6 scale.

It’s sort of brown sunburst that goes yellow/brown in the right light.

I actually bought the watch as a non runner, cheap just for the bracelet. When I got it I couldn’t do anything but resurrect it.
