Good prices for Sovs from Atkinsons Bullion, great service too.
Selling - Hatton Garden Metals offer good prices & are trusted.
A little background for you; my son was born in 2012 and as a nice idea my Mother has been buying a gold sovereign for his birthday or Christmas each year, sometimes both, for my son to possibly sell the lot when he’s 18, either towards uni fee’s, a deposit on a flat or for driving lessons/car/insurance etc.
Fast forward to today and the wife has decided it would be even nicer still if the coins were sequencial, one for each year as at the moment we have a 1905 and a few duplicates of 2014 and 2015. I have explained to her that it makes no odds to the value and if anything this will cost, as the buying price and selling price will differ, and there will be costs.
Anyway I suppose my question is do you have any recomendations? Best places to achieve this..?

I concur on both companies.
Chard also have a good range of dated Sovereigns: https://goldsovereigns.co.uk/forsaleelizabethii.html
I should add that if you're buying dated Sovereigns as a gift then it might be nicer to get proof coins rather than uncirculated or bullion-condition ones. Of course, the proof coins cost more. ;-)

Another for Atkinsons Bullion. Good range and excellent service.
Baird and Co. in London are the prices to beat and very reliable. Goldline.com I think.
I bought and sold gold bullion bars through Baird & Co with no worries and excellent service.
Had a good experience with goldmoney.com.
The spot is essentially realtime , the spread is minimal. Few minutes delay on the buy so you can ride the spot and cancel if its getting better or worse.
You can ask for the physical gold to be delivered.
Worked well for me.
Good thing with sovereigns are they are CGT free if cashed in too.
Used to collect. Weighton Coin Wonders was a good dealer I used in the past.
