Hey guys, I've been off the watch forums for quite a while but this blacked out srpc49 is drawing me in again...

Guy on the divers watch Facebook group just posted a picture of one (no made in Japan on dial) he’s in Singapore.
Says in post case back stamped LE, no numbering. The great “how many are there” debate continues!

I pre ordered mine through the Japan online store to get one of the LE Japanese versions. I appreciate these don’t arrive until 9th feb but since ordering I’ve had no correspondence from them.

Anyone knows if it's possible to remove the magnifying crystal without damaging the watch? I really like the SNE493P1 but I don't want that magnifying glass on my watch :/
Hardly seen any bright light today, but the Seiko lume still does it’s best.
Can’t wait to expose it to some real light ie not the North of Scotland in the Winter!
I also ordered from japan a bit back (so a bit frustrating to see them here already !) but via amazon.jp
I had no comms from them either (apart from the confirmation when I placed the order) until a shipping issue with Amazon came up. Then a flurry of emails. Now back to waiting for the 9th. Hope we get something extra for the wait !
Anyway, as long as you have the originals confirmation I am sure all is fine.

Just seen the new black turtle this morning in a local shop, really like it and can get a small. discount on it.
I did not buy it as I was very pressed for time but might go back in a bit
I am not sure how limited this one will be but not keen to miss out as it is a popular one and a bit of a looker in my opinion.
Edit, I decided to go back and pick it up, it looks fantastic.
The shop only received them yesterday, they had all three of the range and two turtles, but a fair bit of interest in them.
Happy to have it, just need not to scratch it. Lol.

The more pictures i see the less sure i am of this, can't wait to see mine for real. There has been a real mix of good and bad images. Vinnys looks ace on SC.

I liked the other two, but did not try them as I was on a tight schedule.
I have bought three Limited Seiko's from them in the past, they are super friendly and customer service is great.
Had mine on a hour now, Love it.

Don't think I'll be keeping mine, doesn't really do anything for me now I see it in the flesh so to speak.

It says Limited Edition on the case back. Not sure what this means in terms of numbers.

I was seriously considering ordering one from Jura Monday if there are to be cancellations but it's hard to work out whether I really like it, in some photos it looks great in others a bit meh.
Think I'll hang fire until there is more feedback out there...

Of the three in the series, this is the one which appeals most to me. DLC'ing a Turtle doesn't look right whereas this case works better. NiceNot had much opportunity to photograph mine, as I am working all weekend in daylight hours.

Enjoying admiring it on my wristI certainly recommend it.
I just cancelled my order stating there’s more than 50 in the Uk,I was told that’s not possible unless grey or fake.
He didn’t seem very knowledgeable.
I have sent my older solar into Seiko as it’s running a little slow and sent in my ordinary turtle to get it re aligned as well.

Mine arrived today very happy with it. The rubber strap is soooooo comfy need to buy an extra one for my padi turtle Limited edition text on caseback.
Out in the snow.
This is first time I ever had 3 watches of the same modell.
Though this black one looks and feels totally different,the strap is a class act.
Has anyone tried a NATO yet?
Most Seiko rubbers are exceptionally comfy and long lasting.
BTW are these models available in stores or online only? I like DLC finish but am not sure about the mix of normal and fake vintage lume, therefore I'd prefer to see them in person first.
I would say that the one on the Black Series is vastly superior to most Seiko straps. Incredibly supple and comfy.
As for the watch, I would say it looks better on the wrist than in the photos.
it was this video finally made my mind up, surprisingly it seems to work wearing a collar and cuffs..
I popped into the Seiko boutique today and got to see one of the turtles in the flesh. Have to say i was very impressed. I asked the sales chap (who seemed knowledgeable to me) about how many there were. He told me that the boutiques total allocation was 50, of which they have so far received and sold 25, with another 15 due at the end of the month. He said that if he had to guess how many more went to AD's around the country it would be around 100.
They have a great range of Seiko and Grand Seiko to look at - only problem is the prices are WAY high!

Looked at all the pics but can’t tell if the lume color is trying to look aged or just not as white as I am used to. Pics are always hard, what is the lume color like for real?
Yeah, the lume situation is confusing. Why didn't they apply it to hands too? It looks silly.
