Not a big fan of the Turtle case shape, so I went for the Solar Diver (SNE493P1) instead. I was thinking of buying a 'regular' one at some point anyway, and with 10% off at Jura, it made sense to get this one.

I must be on a Seiko binge : 4 ordered in the last month or so

I have had an email this morning from Jura watches advertising the black series, may be worth a look there.

Out of interest, is anyone able to post an image of how Jura are promoting this via email?

Allready it doesn’t feel very limited just like the Padi version.

If only 50 are coming to the UK it doesent seem like it.

My understanding is that it is a “special series”, not a limited one. Hopefully, there will be plenty of them available.

Which would make all the promotional material and press online wrong along with the Jura advertising

This reminds me of the Bulova moonwatch limited edition hysteria and how the early adopters got stung for £500+.

I like the look of these watches but i'll wait a bit and pick one up on SC or creation get millions of them in at knock down prices.

Jura do describe it as a limited edition as you say. The version from Jura is the K version also, so not one of the original run.

  19. #69
Well I've paid a deposit only. When it comes in I'll confirm if it's 'limited' or 'special' and make a decision then!

I think 'special' as per the Padi versions is more likely than 'limited' whatever Jura say, but if you really like it, go for it anyway (he says busily enabling).

I do like it and will buy it but I would like it more if I can get it for £250 in 6 months!

    Seiko link https://www.seiko-prospex.com/sea/blackseries

According to Seiko Boutique, they have 50 shown on their internal stock list. The chap I spoke to didn’t know if that was the total UK allocation or the allocation to Seiko UK Boutique.

There is a JDM version with the reference SBDY005 I believe and rest of the world SRPC49K1.

Seiko Boutique are expecting them in at the end of January. However I don’t believe all a salesman ever tells me.

Come on, this isn't a limited edition. They'll be £250 at the discounters soon enough.

Anyone considering buying from Jura will find, in addition to the 10% off, you can also get cash back with Quidco

Seiko state these are limited editions. However if they adopt the Omega definition of a limited edition, then there could be thousands of them!

It appears to be the only one out of the three Sold Out. I don't get the retro looking Turtle myself, but it continues to prove popular.

The postie arrived unusually early today.....

    Stamped as Limited Edition

The rubber (silicon) strap is vastly superior to what I have previously owned on a Seiko.
I hadn’t noticed the grey between 12 and 3 until I received it.

The packaging and size of it is of a higher quality than a standard Seiko.

Looks like plenty of this range will start arriving today, so plenty of photos chaps!

I just got mine 10 minutes ago too, Andrew.

Not sure how much wear mine will get, but I quite like it.

Could you please check if yours has some very fine lines on the dial too? Don't know how to put it best, but it kind of looks like they connect the 12, 5 and 8 markers (meeting in the centre). It almost looks like shadows, but there is nothing that I can see on the crystal to give those shadows, so I'm assuming they are on the dial itself

    That's where the lines are:

Actually, scratch that. You can see them in this pic from wornandwound too, but only on the Solar Diver.

    I wonder what it means?
