I will be recieiving mine shortly as I put my name down on release. I think in Japan they are still available.

Am I right in thinking that the JDM version, limited to 300 watches has the reference SBDY005 and the version for everywhere else is SRPC49K? Any idea of the number of watches available for the non JDM version?
I heard that too.. if mine is 1 of 300 i probably won't wear the thing!

The place that got me mine could only get three and he had a long list of people interested after me. Good luck tracking one down, there will be plenty on the forum for you to get hold of if not.
The Japan version is limited, but the worldwide release under a different model number isn't necessarily so. As Seiko've made such a big deal on their own website about the 'black series', I doubt very much it will be a limited run. I am interested in this but won't be paying inflated prices due to the hype.
I think that is correct. The 300-issue Japan one (which is hard to find now, even as a pre-order - it isn't actually released until Feb 9th) has Made in Japan and Limited Edition on the caseback, and also "Japan" on the dial in very small type near the rehaut.
The other (Solar and Chrono) black series are also limited to 300 pieces in Japan, and some are still available to pre-order. The are also released Feb 9th.

No idea how many of the international releases are likely to be available. I had the SBDY005 on pre-order but cancelled it. Good luck to those who want one.

I have ordered and paid a deposit straight to mr. Seiko for a SRPC49K1.
there will be 300 of which 50 will come to the UK
I could have ordered one of all 3 but decided against it.

I’ve just heard back that Japan will be manufacturing enough to meet global demand (UK allocated for 50 of each) through the different national accounts forecasts in a one-shot production. So at present I don’t know how many exactly, but it will be limited.

I have been looking at the turtle version on the web for a bit since first pictures,
I see there is a JDM version with made in Japan on the dial that is one of 300 limited run
And there are version with the K dial that is probably less limited, but limited all the same.
I agree I may have missed the boat on a UK sourced one, I should have enquired at the place I have bought my samurai blue lagoon and sbdc053 recently, they have rung the rep while I am in store to enquire about limited editions and then if he has one will take a deposit, but I think I will wait and see how this one plays out.
The enamel dial presage is limited world wide to 1200, when I enquired the rep was getting 5 but had took deposits for two already and it had only just been announced.

Have been mulling this over now since first posting and not 100% convinced on getting one as I all ready have a turtle and getting one that the only real difference being is that it's black doesn't really seem worth it.

Yes of course I realised there was a code after I had put down my deposit. Still it looks like I have managed to pre order a JDM version so I suspect I will cancel my Jura order
