What can be better than this?

Not sure if you make the watch look amazing but a nice piece indeed

Gorgeous.
Lovely. Slight personal niggle as I'd have liked a display back but very nice nevertheless. Great photogrpahy Jocke.
The screw is unforgiveable but given reports of JLC service I'd be reluctant to send it to them just for that.

Fantastic Jocke.
Great looking watch with fantastic photos, one question, what did you use to take them?
Absolutely stunning and I wish I could take photos like that. Thanks for sharing.

Lovely understated watch and amazing photography
Those pics of the 1000 hour testing remind me to wear my JLC Master Compressor a bit more in 2018
Great set of pictures showing off a beautiful watch. Love your pictorial stories and your superb photography skills. Happy New Year Jocke.
Congrats!
I have mixed feelings about this watch. The dial and layout is really fantastic, but the screw issue is really bad and it is weird about the jump of the hands and not being able to set time correctly. I also feel the movement should be better finished even at this price.
Cracking thing that and lovely pictures. Wear in good health!
Stunning pictures and a beautiful looking JLC

Love the chronograph. Fantastic pictures too. Jae ger Le Coultre
Nice pics and nice watch but is the back supposed come off by unscrewing it or have you just done that to show it off? As that would get annoying if you wanted a look at it, then if not it should of had a display case on the back I guess?
Stunning photos, Jocke
You have certainly got a cracking collection
I took a stroll up to WoS at Royal Exchange to try and look at one in the flesh today. Just a lunchtime browse. No more watches this year, oh hang on...
They didn't have the Chrono in stock but did have the basic Master Control (3 hands & date display). I was hugely disappointed by the hands on this version, almost black to my (aging) eyes. The girl who showed me the watch was insistent that the chrono hands would be a similar shade.
From looking at the JLC site the chrono hands look more like Jocke's pics than the basic model?
If only they made a similarly styled reserve de marche or sub seconds version... I really don't need another chrono!
Thank you all for the kind words.
The screw works as it should but not looks a it should. I will do nothing at the moment because it's not a problem for the watchs function.
I will make sure it will be changed at service. About the jumping minute hand so did it works better and better so maybe it will working
properly after some time, we have to see.
I use my favorite combo Nikon D700 with a 100mm Zeiss Macro Planar lens.
I just pull off the backcase to look at the movement and take some pics. Then I saw the damaged screw, but it's hidden under the backcase so it's not visible when the backcase is on.
I guess all the hands are the same at all models in this serie. You are right, inside in low light they looks black in some angles as blued hands mostly do and those are very thin and that will not make it better.
But in good light or outside they will looks awesome.
Great way to start the year, a beautiful watch!
Happy new year

Lovely article, with some great photography.
Also for me that screw would bother me, not the look, but the attitude that damaged it and then left it there. At a certain level is it unrealistic to expect more than that? To expect that even the parts that the ultimate owner is very unlikely to see will be done to the highest possible standard? Having seen the screw not being replaced after being damaged, I'd worry what other parts were sub-standard. Perhaps fair enough on something like a car if it is not going to be seen, but on something like a watch where price is commanded by visual appeal and craftsmanship, it feels wrong.
Thanks again for taking time for images and write-up. It is indeed a really beautiful watch.
This what replaced the 5167 Jocke? Quite lovely.
