I loved this but was pleased to see it go to a good home.
This year has almost entirely been about selling rather than buying, so I've just been looking through photos of those watches I no longer have. In each case I remembered pretty quickly why I moved it on, but this very thin and light 35mm manual-wind two-hander stood out:
It had an air of such stillness and simplicity, unique amongst the watches I've owned. (If it had had a steel case, a dial that was white not silver, and a more accurate movement, I might still have it)
To my surprise, the watch I recalled with the least fondness was the Max Bill auto. I think that might have been because it never sat particularly comfortably on my wrist.

Sold a zenith A3817. Stupid, stupid, STUPID!!!
One i let go earlier this year, no regrets as i seem to have gone off bigger Watches, specially the thickness.
Didn't wear it enough when I had it, missed it once sold.

Watches are like Dictionaries; the worst is better than none, and the best cannot be expected to go quite true.

At least it went eventually, although I did wobble a fair few times before doing a deal with somebody who appreciates its rarity.

“Don’t look back, you’re not heading that way.”
Absolutely loved this watch and if it had been a few mil thinner it would still be on my wrist now.

I sold this in 2017
I never meant to sell it, but in discussing another version of the same watch, a potential buyer told me what he was intending to pay for the other example.
It was an offer I couldn't refuse, but I do miss it.

This for me:

It has to be this Nomos Datum Dunkle. I sold it to Ben (Binsull) who sold it again on the forum. I should have brought it back and would happily do so. If you have it PM me.

My 183. It was the watch that got me into Panerai and I hankered after it for ages. However it was replaced with a 190. My wife did ask why I spent a few thousand pounds more buying an older watch in poorer condition that looked to her eyes identical to the one I sold. Thats this hobby for you.

This Gruppo Gamma Bronze. Can’t even say why I sold it, just the flipperdevil/restless guy in me speaking I guess...
This year was more about acquiring than selling to be honest, but I wouldn't mind having a 144 again at some point.

I often regret selling these two
SBGA127 Spring Drive
SBGW047 44GS
Both unique and super rare. Shame I let them go.
