    Just checking

I have an IWC pilot and I am getting paranoid about the screw in crown. I thought when I purchased it there was almost a full turn to screw in the crown. Now when I wind and screw in the crown there is only about a quarter of a turn. Is this right?

Is it possible that debris might have been caught up in the threads of the crown or the case tube ? Does the movement itself function properly ? Sometimes the issue is with the stem and the movement.

If it helps, I just checked my IWC 3717 and it takes just short of one and a half turns to screw in the crown all the way. It does sound as if something is obstructing the thread.

Sounds like I need to take it in for inspection

Movement appears to be working fine. Keeping good time and self winds.

Crown is tight to the case when screwed in.
