that does look good, is there a texture or print on the dial ?
Here is my dad's old omega which i recieved back today after sending it for a service by olli. Putting the watch back on was an emotional moment for me even though it is more than three years since my dad passed away. This watch was an engagement present to my dad from my mum. I'm really pleased to have it back in good working condition and i must say i think it looks fantastic after a bit of tlc by olli.
Good luck everybody. Have a good one.

Nice. Love the idea of children inheriting or being gifted their parents watches.
Marvellous to have something with family history, and of course for the likes of us all the better for being a lovely looking watch!
F.T.F.A.
That is lovely.
Apologies for asking if you've said elsewhere but what is the movement at the heart of that - a 285?
That's gorgeous Dave.
Watches are the best heirlooms.
Cheers,
Neil.
The only watch you'll ever need. And a couple of G Shocks :D
Looks lovely. I'm a sucker for linen dials.
Enjoy wearing it. It's a really nice way of remembering your Father.
Beautiful and, I'm sure, priceless to you.
Very nice Dave. Lost my Dad 3 years ago as well, still miss him lots especially this time of year when we always got together for a "wee dram" at Christmas. Wear that with pride as I'm sure you are!
Lovely understated vintage beauty Dave.
The fact that it came from your dad is a big added bonus.
Got a new watch, divers watch it is, had to drown the bastard to get it!
Great looking watch. Must be amazing to have something like that to remember him by.
A fitting watch for such special memories. It looks lovely.
Lovely
A lovely looking watch even better with the sentiment behind it.
That’s gorgeous Dave.
Priceless.
Well rescued chaps, it looks like Olli did a bang-up job!
It looks the business, watches like that might have a few years on them but they'll never be out of fashion.
My Dad's was a yellow Seiko chronograph, the only one I'd never part with.
Very nice Dave! Your mum has good taste!
Glad it's home safe and sound, Dave-O.
I can imagine the connection is strong as you may even remember holding your Father's hand while he was wearing it.
I must get my Grandfather's watch repaired.
A promise for the New Year I think.
wish my dad was into watches! looks great.
Very nice Dave. Every time I wear my Dads Air-King-Date I think of him. He wore it for the last 20y of his life.
Very nice. I bet you are pleased to have it back.
It's just a matter of time...
Lovely watch, it must have huge sentimental value, I would imagine. If my dad had a watch like that, I'm sure he would leave it to me. Hopefully I'll get his Seiko Quartz anyway! It's not the £ value...
fantastic, I know how you feel, great memories from such items.
It's lovely, I have a very similar one which was my Grandfather's. It's actually 50 years old today!

That is a gorgeous watch. It looks very good on your wrist too. Perfect size
That's just great and an excellent job (again) by Olli.
"A man of little significance"
That's so nice.A lovely classic watch with which to remember your father.
Your Mum has great taste. A timeless classic, enjoy the memories it brings Dave
Truly a stunning little watch!
Very classy and timeless!! I’m guessing your mum is both of those things if she chose that as an engagement present !!
I don’t remember getting anything from my wife when we got engaged???
Enjoy it and pass it along!!
Another watch being kept alive, if only each watch to tell it’s story!?!?
Chris
