Somewhere in the great cosmos there probably is a planet where tax is fair and just and the revenues thereby gathered are always and only used to benefit those who are really in need.
Then theres reality.
We've just booked for next year and are to be charged 4 euros per night per room (directly to the government via the hotel). I don't mind if the proceeds on this tax are there to help those who use the hotels, rather than just disappearing into the greek economy on the mainland! Corfu infrastructure has always been in a poor way, so anything to improve it would be great.
