My first two watch purchases!

Evening all

Just got myself a little excited so thought I would share for those who are interested.

Yes it's not a Rolex or a Tudor etc but I'm just starting out easy!

I just picked up two lovely Tissot watches one of each colour

First one is a Tissot Le Locle Automatic watch white face

Beautiful watch I love the style of it

Secondly Tissot Couturier Automatic watch with Black face again which again I love

Will post pictures once I get my hands on them!

Just a quick FIY. Modern Tissots are some of the most replicated watches out there. Yes they come with box and perhaps even "papers" in some cases.

Have you checked that they are genuine ?

They have original receipts from goldsmith and I paid via PayPal so will go and get them authenticated and if they're not genuine i still have buyer protection

Wise re. fake comments. I think Tissot are rather underrated. Very solid build quality at very affordable prices. Smart choice.

I’ve owned a few and also bought the exact same Tissot for my old man and my father in law!!!

If your old mans into Heuer and on here at least you have some company straight away!!

Welcome.

Tissot are a good solid brand. Arguably their vintage watches were their best, and on similar levels to Omegas etc. Until the the virtual collapse Swiss watch market.

Still some very nice etched in the current line up.

Okay the Le Locle arrived today

Overall I'm impressed with it, it's a really nice looking watch

I have taken off the original strap and put a 20mm alligator leather strap from watch gecko

I do have a lovely blue calf leather strap due to arrive soon which I think will suit it much better

These are two nice watches and a good idea to contrast black and white dials .
As someone else mentioned vintage Tissot has some wonderful options and in the modern lineage I’ve always fancied a Seastar
