A night to remember for my son

My 8 year old son, Charlie, was one of the mascots at Old Trafford last night. He's mad on football & Manchester United.

5 goals scored. I accidentally cheered for the first one, then realised there was a stony silence around me. It was a Newcastle goal. I missed 3 of the 4 Man United goals. One of which was caused by my trying to get a good shot of my IWC mark xii. Great experience for him, somewhat wasted on me, but a night for him to remember.

My Manchester City affiliation won't allow me to comment on this, however if I could I would say that that's a memory he'll treasure forever and you should be really chuffed for him!

Couldn't you have just put him on the naughty step , or stopped his pocket money ?
The poor lad will need counselling now.

    I jape of course.
Congrats, he looks made up , even if it looks like Rashford is the mascot in the picture 😂

Fabulous experience for a young 'un.

Hope the trip from London and back wasn't too bad!

A night he will remember for a long time no doubt. I still remember being a ball boy at carrow road when Steve Bruce was captain and that doesn't come close to your boys night.

    That's great for your lad.

Watched the match on TV and ManU looked fantastic.
    Cheers,
    Neil.

You do realise that we let Man U win so that your lad's night wasn't spoiled. ;-)

When you've watched them for as long as I have Neil you never take anything for granted until the final whistle is blown.

My father-in-law is a West Ham supporter and he hates nothing less than your lot being 2-0 up at half-time!
