Does anyone know definitively if Rolex will swap Daytona dials if you pay for a service ? I know this was possible with the non-ceramics but what about the ceramic version ?
I’m talking about white>black or black>white. Not crossing references.

Best folks to ask are Rolex Service Centre, get a definitive answer then you know where you stand.

Always understood that they would do this but retain the original dial
Doesn't the white dial command a higher price on the second hand market? If you swap from black to white you'll be quids in if selling?

And contrary to popular belief not everyone who buys a Daytona wants to sell it.
I was thinking of changing mine from white to black at service. Haywood told me that Rolex would do that but to make sure to check the dial closely for marks, particularly the sub dials on the replacement, as the they were very easily marked during the fitting.

I had a dial change by Rolex many years ago (not on a Daytona).
IIRC they will only fit a dial that they supply (for which you pay their retail price), but will return the removed one.
They will also only fit a dial that is specifically correct for the watch - so you couldn't have, say, silvered Arabic numerals on a S/S.
Give St James a quick ring - they are great to deal with.
Sure I read somewhere they wont swap dial on the new ceramic SS Daytonas
I think this is a very valid question and it's something I would like to know.
The answer might make the decision between buying a Black or White dial a tiny bit easier knowing that you "could" change it should you want to in the future.
Interested to hear the outcome of this, for future reference.
Did anyone end up calling Rolex to confirm?
Rolex St James told me they will swap. However a service is a must and the cost of the additional dial is VERY high as well. On top of that, ofcourse you do not get the original one back either.
£510 for Daytona service
I'll try to find out the price of the dial
I'm sure they will swap like for like, and even though the white commands a premium I can't believe Rolex can factor this in, that would just be acknowledging the Greys and their influence too much.
How much was the replacement dial please?
