The Seiko 5 line was introduced in 1963 and from then on, many watches have been created throughout the line.

The Seiko 5 SNK809 was introduced in the early 2000's and have yet to become an irrelevant piece. It has a durable 7S26 movement, one of Seiko's own in-house movements that are in many other watches such as the iconic SKX line. Following the Seiko 5 traits, the SNK is waterproof to 30m, has a recessed crown at 4, has a very durable case with a nice bead-blasted finishing, has an awesome automatic movement and stays very affordable around $100. The SNK and the other Seiko 5's are pretty much the best automatic watches that you can get for the price and, ask anyone and they will most likely agree.

In this video, I give my personal thoughts on the case, the finishing, how the watch wears, my experience with the movement and even thoughts on the black stock canvas strap.
