The list seems to be stuck at 1800 when I was told that back in Jan?

Wonder if this indicates cessation of the said timepiece?

The Tudor’s a more subtle/nicer shade of green and is more understated (ok, so it hasn’t got a date function), therefore Tudor wins for me.

I’m surprised at the pic above, I’d have thought the B.B. would dwarf the sub! Or are these Harrods ones smaller than normal?

Just a quick question is the lume on the black bay as good as the Rolex?

Not smaller than normal. The BB is 41mm vs 40mm for the sub.

I think I prefer it because it doesn't have a date function. I've always hated them

Take the larger lugs, in to account.

Also, the Rolex has crown guards, which the Tudor doesn't.

Though I don't have a sub to compare it with, I would say no.

The lume is average. Nothing more, nothing less.

The thing with the Harrods version is that prior to release a lot of people expected it to be a blingy flop with the Harrods logo emblazoned all over it. It actually turned out to be the opppsite with any reference to the store discreetly marked on the case back and nowhere else.

I also like the fact that it hasn’t got a date function.

I do think it’s very nice though and looks a lot nicer colour to me than the Rolex.

Agreed, the Tudor looks really good in this side-by-side shot.

I personally think that the best thing about the LV is the green dial.

Have to agree, most Rolex prof models have black dials.

    Anymore recent incomings?
Called yesterday to see how the list was going, put my name down late January and was told there’s about 4-6 months more wait. Not too bad imo.

There was a spate of them being released by Harrods around April/May (when I got mine) but it then went a bit quiet. Would be interesting to know what number they’re up to now? Mine is numbered in the mid-300’s.

    Lume shot:

Was going through Harrods today with the Mrs and a female sales assistant in the Chanel boutique asked me what number mine was!

There are lots of things to praise about a Submariner but as a purely personal view. I’ve always felt the hands let the Sub down . To me they are a bit dainty . The Tudor to me has a stronger readability and presence. Of course all just opinion

I around the area so popped in to query the list aswell. I also put my name down on the list late Jan and the guy said you should hopefully get a call soon. Hopefully around the end of June or possibly July.

Just noticed the one of these for sale on Watchfinder is not there anymore. Surely it didn’t go for £5,250?!

The staffers seem to have a different story every time I call. My name was down in Nov yet they can’t say where I am on the list and according to others they are now down to names down in Jan.

Well don’t give up the chase because this Tudor is heaps more attractive than the GMT, 58 and all the other pretenders to the crown (apart from the ETA BBN of course) 😊👍

So was my name on list since Nov but nothing so I ended paying over rrp with wtb

To be honest I was quite surprised to receive the call to collect as I joined the list by a phone call to their fine watches department. I had assumed that the girl who answered my call just noted down my name and mobile number on a piece of scrap paper, not sure that it would actually end up in a book or a list, i.e. ending up in taz11's position but am so glad that I got the call.

A guy on Tudor Watch club on Facebook picked his up from Harrods the other day by the looks of it so they must still be rolling them out. Also, someone mentioned a ‘second wave’ of them coming out but don’t quote me on that!

I have been told by someone that works in the watch department at Harrods that Tudor will be making 1500 and they will all be numbered.

That’s what he has been told so don’t shoot the messenger.

Agreed. I suppose if capped at 1500 and numbered it’s not so bad if people are buying as a collectors piece. Wear it and enjoy is my mantra.

I still don’t know where that came from? I was told at the outset by Tudor it wasn’t a limited edition and they’d make as many as Harrods had demand for.

It was purely a special edition available only through them...

1500 huh? This is bad new for some people who put there name down on the list when they were told it was 1800 at the time.

I am reliably informed it was on the initial planning discussions with Harrods and Tudor. Hence why Harrods marketed it to ‘VIP’ clients initially as an opportunity to have something special. But embarrassing now for the sales staff
