Worse than that, the bottom one is upside down!
But yeah, get your point....not great and I wouldn't have passed it
Just stumbled across this full page ad in BA's in-flight magazine. The merits of the watch aside, how can anyone seriously approve such a photograph for a pricey campaign? Not only is it so dark that one can only guess the position of the black hands over the black subdials, but the chrono seconds hand is not even in the middle of the Rolex logo.
Is this just sloppy advertising or done on purpose in order to set off some carefully thought out process inside my head?

Someone who lies about the little things will lie about the big things too.

Did tony take those photos?
(only joking tony )
Yes please, I'd like to splash a silly amount of money on an illegible watch.
Fools - Money - Parted.
Agreed it’s a dreadful photo.
And what a trick they’ve missed: if the hands were all white or silver/steel, this Daytona would have Moonwatch levels of readability.

Poor photo and not a very nice looking watch either but what do I know? They'll no doubt fly off the shelves!
I wouldn't say it was a poor photo just that it's a bit moody and more about atmosphere than revealing every little detail about the watch. At least all the highlights on the polished stainless are not blown to 255/RGB which is something most amateurs do, nothing worse than no ink on the plate when it goes to press.
(I shoot watches for a living)
As for the watch? Not my cup of tea but I expect it will find a buyer.
Cant say it will find many buyers. A less appealing colour scheme on an inflated prices watch? Sometimes I think they just do these things for a bit of media interest.

Hard to read, vastly inflated price, no Rolex warranty.
Mugs and their money!
