    Steel or Ceramic??

Ordered a Fortis Classic Cosmonauts from Page and Cooper and have waited patiently for it to arrive. As it has been a month now so I thought I'd chase it up. I had a swift reply but it advised that the one I had ordered (Steel) is not available "until further notice"... :0(

I have been offered though, the ceramic version which is available immediately.

I'd rather have the Steel but have already waited a month and now have an undetermined wait, which we all now is a painful thing to have to wait for a new watch!!

So, shall I wait for the Steel, or go for the immediate hit of the Ceramic?

    What would YOU do???

    CERAMIC

    STEEL

steel, if its what you actually want. ceramic will leave you wishing you'd waited.

I like the look of the ceramic more. The black works nicely for me. Is there a big price difference? Why can't they get the steel or even give you a time frame?

That’s the correct, and sensible, answer. Me? I actually prefer the ceramic bezel version by far and would be going for that one.

    Both are nice.

However Id advise that what you want is preferable to what you are prepared to accept...

I'd have the ceramic because I like it more.

Just looked at the range and think I prefer the silver dial versions.
Look great on the bracelet too.

Likewise, the ceramic version makes it look very Bund-ish, which is a great plus in my book (and unlike actual Bunds and typical Bundalikes, it has day, date, and a 12-hour totaliser, but I digress).

I love the ceramic but you ordered steel so surely you must want the steel more? I'd wait if you like the steel version.

    Nice watch though :)

Ceramic, but with the strap off the steel

I prefer the ceramic and don't think I'd 'settle' for the steel.

Better to wait for what you want really.

    Nice watch either way.

I personally prefer the ceramic but as others have said you're as well waiting for the steel if that's the one you really want (though totally understand about the wait).

Is there a price difference between the two out of interest?

Is it only the bezel that is different?? Ceramic looks good but I'm not sure which i prefer, faced with having to wait an indeterminate amount of time I might well go for the ceramic, but id have to think about it for awhile.

Go ceramic! Looks better. But in case you prefer the steel (which is the case ) think about the scratches that the steel bezel will pick up by the time... ...and now think of the flawless ceramic even after years of abuse! Go ceramic!
