Clearly not a Rolex shortage everywhere

Just spotted these in the dealer's window.

Apologies for the poor iPhone photos, but it is tipping it down here in Moscow.

There was another window full of Datejusts.

These are very common models. It's the steel sports everyone is saying are scarce such as Subs, BLNR and obvs the Daytona.

Yep ! Find me a blnr , steel subs , hulks , Steel Daytona’s and even a steel gmt is getting hard to find . Yatchmasters and any gold gold/steel models aren’t hard to find

When I go looking the only steel models I ever see are the OP range.

The GMT is getting a little more difficult to get hold of. I waited a few months to get one. All other sport SS models are equally or more difficult to get hold of.

I don't think stainless models are quite the thing here in Moscow.

There was a nice Fifty Fathoms Flyback though...

What where the prices like? Perhaps thats the explanation.

Also the Platinum dial Yachtmaster has been out of production for 2 years so must've been there a while.

    Yup, nothing desireable there.

Ones to look out for are :

    Steel sub
    Hulk sub LV
    BLNR GMT
    Deepsea D-Blue James Cameron
    New sea-dweller
    Daytona Ceramic Steel.

Exactly, they’d probably bite your hand off if you even looked in it’s direction lol.

Surely that's a matter of perception? Better to say 'nothing in short supply there?'

I don't own a Rolex, probably never will, but the one's in the Op pic don't look too shabby to me.

    Nothing in “short supply” there.

"Short supply" is easier to spell too, evidently.

My spelling is generally pretty good, we all make mistakes from time to time......unless we are perfect.

i’ve owned the Hulk LV and BLNR and sold both on as I really don’t desire the bulked out shoulers on the newer case designs. But since then bought a bi-metal Yaghtmaster and consider that the best of both - more modern face and internals and bracelet, but classic case shape.

As as they say around here: each to their own. The evarose gold YM with black ceramic in the picture looks the dogs gonads but outside my price range.

I actually find myself wearing my year 2000 Pepsi much more than my BLNR. It’s a much better daily wearer in my opinion.

Your point about the new size case is very valid.

I still love my BLNR and D-Blue though.

The Pt Yachtmaster is discontinued, so could be a bargain if NOS. Or that shop isn’t an AD and all the watches are pre owned

  17. #17
It’s the official Rolex AD in Moscow, on Petrovka ul. 2
