    Glashutte original

Now available in Glasgow. Argyll arcade to be specific. Just a heads up for anyone in & around Glasgow who covets GO.

It was a pleasure to view and wear a GO this afternoon.

Damn it, more people will be wearing them soon! ;)

I really enjoyed both of mine, and the one left in my collection is one I had been meaning to add for years - there really are a very nice watch brand and well worth taking a closer look at.
It's just a matter of time...

I'm still to try one on in person. Probably a good thing...

I tried one on today as well (Senator Excellence moonphase) and the Parmigiani Tonda in steel.

Preferred the Tonda but the GO was real nice too!

Good to see brands outside the usual stuff up North lol

Spotting the GO watches stopped me in my tracks. Simply stunning, light, finish really is something else.

Chisholm Hunter if memory serves me correctly. Lovely staff who were happy to cater for me & my 3 year old.

It was great to see a few brands out with the norm.

I tried the panomaticlunar. It was strange to remove my sub to then wear the GO. It made the sub look and feel clumsy.

I somehow managed to resist buying especially since there was a panomaticinverse there as well.

I wonder if there would be a discount to be had. Fancy a group buy? :-D

A group buy!! If only, lol.

Did you see the black dial Tonda? I thought it looks absolutely stunning. If it said Patek on the dial, collectors would be going nuts to buy one.

The panomatic lunar with the dark dial was a stunner as well.

I wish I could see the whole line in place. Does anyone know if they sell any "traditionally sized" dress models? I'm thinking of something in the 36mm range.

    Yeah fat chance.

I didn't, got a bit caught up with the GO stuff.

I am a fan of the black/grey lunar.

I'm a big fan of the GO 70s Pano but the size has put me off buying it unseen. If I can try one on in the flesh it might become a viable option again.

    Picked this one up recently:

Previously had the original model (date numbering in black on a white background). Loving it!

Was commenting on Grand Seikos recent entry to arcade. The Snowflake is one of their highlights.

    Gosh, I covet that.
I have two GOs (vanilla Senator Excellence and Panoreserve in blue), but I feel the need for a diver -- and one that is not ubiquitous. So, I'm on here (and TWF) in the wanted section looking for a Sport Evo Pano. I even talked to the factory to make sure they had no NOS (they don't). If I can't find one, I may have to take second best (FF Bathyscaphe)!

I'll just drop a photo here to remind myself my GO Seventies Panorama Date will never leave.

    Hi,

I tried on the no date senator excellence today and it wears stunningly well. A perfect blend of classic looks, fantastic build quality and still with really good wrist presence.

For an elegant dressy watch it has a lot going for it. Got more than a bit of the Richard Lange look about it!

    Very tempting.

Very much. It has become pretty much my “go to” watch for suit/tie occasions. It’s very easy on the wrist, quite accurate (+3secs/day), and unfailingly gorgeous to behold.

Rolex Oysterquartz (17000) SS beater; Cartier Santos quartz in steel/gold for dress wear; Audemars Piguet Huitième chronograph in yellow gold; Glashütte Original Senator Excellence SS; Glashütte Original Panoreserve SS; bated breath for arrival of Stowa Flieger.
    Need more . . . .

    Nice one!

I think it would fit both daily suit/tie and also have the size and wrist presence for jeans and a shirt at the weekend.

Probably does, but for “smart casual” or “informal” I tend to wear the blue GO.
