SINN 556 Anniversary and Seiko Sarx033 for me. First one especially. The sinn really plays with the light a lot. Hands and markers light up simultaneously to reflect light. The Seiko amazes quality wise, has to be seen really.

Flipping to opposite I left the house the other week convinced I was going to buy a Tudor Pelagos LHD after watching videos and looking at photos for a week but in the flesh it just didn’t have the same appeal and left me very cold. Great in pics, average irl.
BP bathscape in any version. Totally disingeresting to me online, but genuinely attractive on the wrist.
My thoughts exactly.

Agree that Rolex Zenith and Grande Seiko are much nicer in the flesh than in photos.
Everything else I find the other way round to be honest.
Would really like to see a Steinhaart in the flesh one day.
Seiko Alpinist.
For me it was the Speedmaster Pro Moonwatch with the hesalite crystal.
In photos you really don't get a feel for the way that the light refracts off of the domed soft crystal.
When you see the watch in person I really feel like the hesalite gives the watch face a look that I've never seen in other watches before.
I think it may be the reduced abouts of reflection. It just feels like there's no crystal between you and the dial at some angles.

Yacht Master platinum dial. Looks so much better in the metal. It blew me away.

I would agree, salesman got me to try each on and I was impressed.
Watches I had no interest in.
I would say almost every watch looks better in real life than in pictures. Video a good intermediate step to get a better idea of what a watch really looks like
I think most Watch tenders are poor representations of the real thing.

2 watches that disappointed me in real life - omega Seamaster coaxial 300 (too thick, bezel too shiny) and the speedmaster 57. Both of these I just didn’t enjoy the lume. There’s something about faux patina that to me seems like a temporary phase. To pay so much money for something that feels somehow less than genuine just does not work for me.

I think larger, 44mm watches look better in real life than photos.
