Cheers for the heads up. I got more than 20% extra off these at the check out. Just bagged them for £206. 60% off in total against RRP.

    Great heads up, thanks.

There’s some Bourtons on their web page for £395 and on the outlet they are £260 (probably some difference but I can’t see it and soles are identical). Nearly bought them the other day but couldn’t make my mind up. Just got them for £195 so 25% off. Cheers.

Thanks for the heads up, I hadn't seen the email sitting in my inbox and following a quick visit, I am now £195 lighter, but have a nice pair of navy Bourton brogues with dainite soles for winter wear around town.

I was also looking at these a few weeks ago at £265, so a decent discount today.

Be careful on some surfaces - dainite are great most of the time, but on some wet surfaces they are lethal!

    Tricker’s are cracking shoes though.

Anyone with enormous feet in Edinburgh?

TK Maxx at Hermiston Gait in Edinburgh have one pair of Trickers for sale. Tan colour, double leather sole unit. Probably minus box and everything else that comes with a new pair. Size 13.5... Yes, 13.5. I have the exact same shoe in 9.5. Anyhow, the pair I’ve spotted are just £160. A veritable bargain for Claude Hopper.

Cheers mate, I've spent 20 minutes trying to move things about and free up some time to get over but no joy, hopefully someone else makes and remembers me with my strange new addiction to boots lol. Quite like the brogue Chelsea boots too just got a hankering for a black brogue boot, I'm sure I'll scratch the itch one day soon.

That's what I ordered - they arrived today. So far they look and feel superb to me :-)

May I ask how these fit, gents? I have a pair of Stow boots which are a perfect fit in a 9.5, but Trickers suggest going down a half size for the 4444 last (on which they make the Bourtons), so I've always been a little reluctant to buy on-line... Thanks.

I’ve just tried them on and I think you’re right. I’m an 11 and these feel quite big, 10 1/2 wouldn’t have been a slightly better fit I think though they are extremely comfortable.

I wish I’d ordered another pair of something different as the price has gone back up.

I’ve got two pairs of Trickers. Both are half a size less than I would normally take.

I was worried that the purple would be too much but very nice in person - especially for £120 !

Yes they look far brighter but in reality they are *different* but still a normal enough colour.

I am wearing the navy blue Bourton brogues today and I bought them in a size 9. I am very pleased with them.

I have a pair of Stow country boots with Dainite sole in a size 9 and they were quite tight to start with. The size 9 in the Bourton's certainly have more room in them and feel much more comfortable that the Stow's do for sizing.

    All the best,

Don't worry - come next week shoe corner will be full of them... for a very reasonable mark-up.
