Lovely. I bought a similar model in the same colour when I was backpacking in Australia back in 1999. So characterful, I was really sad to see it go when I sold it to some South African lads in the Sydney backpackers car market. Coincidentally, that was the last vehicle of that era that I have driven until today. I had a 1966 Karmann Ghia arrive on Tuesday, it's a project car, but I took it down the road a few hours ago.
That's lovely, your sale posts always suggest you're a skilled diyer. Would be great to see some updates to this as the interior goes in as sure it'll be to the same standard.

Original back in, i have the complete oak framed units, vinyl and Duracor cushions, bunks, cooler, etc.
I have been cleaning it up and making a few minor repairs to the veneer, whilst still trying to maintain some patina.
Just need to get the seats recovered, so it has red ones in at the moment, oh and new door cab interior panels as these could not be saved sadly
They are a close match to the rear interior panels.
Its going to stay standard, not even a modern radio.
I have a couple of others to mess with, so it will be nice to keep this one as it was built by JP Whites ( Sidmouth ) Ltd, later to become Devon Conversions of course
Mot passed.
1 advisory, that the number plates were faded.
Spent the weekend putting the interior in.
One slight problem......I just don't like it.
Layout reminds me of a railway carriage, just not very cosy or even practical.
I have got to put together a list of things that still need doing, but not feeling that wow factor at all sadly.
My wife, who I thought would just fall in love with it, feels the same, and prefers our 72 Westfalia, though we are both questioning whether we are better suited to the more modern type.
Time to remove those rose tinted nostaglia glasses perhaps and go back to planning the conversion of my T5 lwb.

How have you "rust proofed" the thing Keith, I have a 1976 VW Beetle Karman in the Barn that I need to get round to ...... and it just depends how deep I go into the restoration as I have had a good offer "as is" ........... and once you start the £££'s never stop ........ I probably should take the wings off and sort them, but that's the easy bit

Thats lovely, we were thinking of getting a Beetle to compliment the camper ( s ). Just got to decide which ones to keep going with though
No not rust proofed properly underneath yet, its garaged and not likely to go out much over the next few months so should be OK.
Most of the loose debris has been removed, and some underseal applied to specific areas, but still debating whether to send it to a specialist or pop it up on the ramps and do it myself with a compressor and some Dinatrol.
I have been quoted £495 to have it done, and reckon it will cost me about £200 and most of the day to do it myself.
