Amazing, thanks for this - great to see the level of hand craftsmanship that goes into GS.

Thank you so much for sharing!

I have a SBGJ white GMT and really love the 44GS case. I also have a old GS diver but lucky me I don't like their new hi-beat GS diver for it is "too much Seiko originality" and the crown at 4:00 just puts me off.

Brilliant post and thanks for beautifully sharing your wonderful trip with us. This is precisely why I adore my Grand Seikos - it's the heart that goes into each of these fantastic timepieces.

Ditto the same for me. Looking forward to it later though.

Recovering from the flu, that post has certainly made my week. The attention to detail and the time it must have taken you to get all the photo's and information organised and planned out is very much appreciated.

    Fantastic.

What a wonderful post - honestly quite inspiring (to me, at any rate: I've never quite plucked up the courage to "jump" on a GS, but understanding more about the design grammar, level of craftsmanship and history is really illuminating). Thanks for posting. :)

Thanks for posting this, it was thoroughly enjoyable to read but I am hugely envious of your trip. I absolutely love Seiko but this really has shone a whole new light onto the brand.

This has to be the best post of the year, if not the history of TZ-UK.

Great to see that so many Grand Seiko staff wear GS, Credor and other Seiko's.

I have two Grand Seiko watches that give me more joy than any other watches I have owned.

This post has inspired me to add more and could very well turn me into a Seikoholic.

I stumbled across this thread when searching the forum for posts on the SBGC003 and thought it well worth bumping back up. What a superb post that really captures the Japanese pursuit of perfection and craftsmanship perfectly, thanks Yonsson! I have just returned from a business trip to Tokyo and have a great interest and respect for Japanese culture, I love visiting the country.

    Cheers
