Thread: iPad question

  1. #1

    iPad question

Just received a very fine ipad air from a fellow here. Also a case, that is a genuine apple one from someone else. However, unlike my iPad mini, when I close the case, it still stays on.
I checked the auto off thing as it says to do, in settings, but no, still wont go off.

Even found a mini magnet , which, so the winternet says will do the job on the right side of case.

    Any ideas?

Don't shoot me. Just a suggestion. Settings - General - Display & Brightness. Slide the Lock/Unlock to OFF then to the right ON. Turn the iPad off then back on again. Hopefully when you turn it back on it should be working with the Smart Cover.

More than that? Haven't a clue.

Case fitted upside down so magnet isn’t over the sensor when closed ?

The Apple cases can have different standards. Eg Pre iPad 3 and after. If you have an older case, official or otherwise it won’t be compatible.

Problem solved- it's a newer case and the magnets are in the wrong place
