    Tour de France 2018

We might as well have a thread ready. The route is out (link) and it's "absolutely brutal" according to Mark Cavendish (link).

The greatest sporting event in the world bar none.
I so look forward to the 3 weeks every year.
I don't see anybody beating Froome if he avoids injury.
Always good to see the French not having a contender again.

Looking forward to it. More mountain top finishes than this year I hope. The flat sprint finish stages are less interesting to me but I suppose there's got to be a balance. As a race I preferred the Vuelta this year (again..it was also brilliant last year). Some of the shorter, harder stages made for better racing imo

Spoken like a true sports fan.
A Brit ´sports´ fan that is.

p.s. I hear there is a piece of dirt road in the Mount Lozére climb. Cool; back to the roots!
