A remarkable rarity on the forum today - the very Shenhua bridge escapement believed to have been worn by Jim Banana.

I planned to keep this as a safe queen. Indeed @TheFlyingBanana thoughtfully retained the original stickers when sending it to me (therefore any PM's should start with offers at least double RRP).

However, researching other Shenhua 9541s reveals that mine has the rare modification that allows the auto winding rotor to move freely, thereby presenting the possibility of continuous running for more than a few hours, while sounding like a Morris Dancer if you move your arm. Along with the screw in crown and movement feature that only allows forward adjustment of the hands (not back - the secret agent equivalent of a one way bezel), I feel I must wear this to do it justice.

It's actually pretty cool watching it do its thing.

Time to head out the back for a bit of fun, this windy Friday. If its too gusty.... back indoors to fly "mini-me"! All timed on my 7A38 of course!

Looks excellent, in my entirely biased opinion, and is the probably the best watch for most jobs! Enjoy your trekking.
