    Scramble! Best Unboxing Ever.

We all know about those Omega boxes that have their own postcode, but sometimes the packaging that a watch arrives in really is something a little bit special without being unnecessarily oversized. For me, this one is something of a pinnacle:

Loads of fragile labelling tape to whet the appetite.

Plenty of bubblewrap and a nice personal note. Ooh, No. 1!

An envelope containing a mystery key...

A layer of tissue paper and another nice touch.

    Now we're getting somewhere...

    Some more personal touches...

    Let's get that lid off!

    Aha!

    At last!

Better fit a strap. The spring bars are neatly squirrelled away inside the custom tool.

Carl certainly knows how to get those extra touches right.
The 6B launches have never come along at the right time for me but I have a boat load of his straps and love them.

Nice watch - if I have any funds left from current building work I may well treat myself as this is a cool looking watch (and presentation box!)

Wow, Carl has really put a lot of passion into the packaging (and the watch ).

Very nice, wear it in good health and change its shoes every now and then!

Really does appeal to those who want more than just a watch.

That said, I've watched the development of his third generation closely and the watch alone stands well at its price point.

    Congrats.

Every time I see another of his offerings I get mildly jealous that he does something that's clealy so fulfilling. The packaging just oozes enjoyment of the whole design process, with such fantastic attention to detail. This is by far my favorite 6B offering as well. Going from strength to strength..

An excellent piece and possibly the best packaging I have ever seen!

Wonderful post and a brand I have not come across absolutely great packaging and lovely watch as well.

That's bloody cool and bloody nice. I've not seen this one before. Any more details?

Gorgeous watch with superb packaging. Really creates an atmosphere.

    More watch shots needed.

Love that nato. Is it available separately?

It's the third accomplishment in watch design by Carl Evans (GasGasBones) and his best yet IMO; the 6B MK3.

He has a reputation for excelling in presentation.

That has to be some of the most imaginative packaging and for a very lovely watch.

That is genius level packaging! Says far more than the Russian doll boxes within boxes as with some brands!

I like how the unboxing is as much a part of the product experience as wearing the watch.

Excellent unboxing sequence and the watch doesn't disappoint either! I love the grooves on the subdials; very Speedie Pro.

The watch oozes quality and craftsmanship. Carl has put a lot of thought and work into this, keeping it relevant to the concept and building on his experience which clearly shows. The interesting dial design, beautifully machined sub-dials, 38mm diameter case with finely brushed bezel, the clear crystal and fluted crown and chronograph pushers all combine to create a harmonious unity.

The bespoke olive nylon strap is micro adjustable which is another really nice touch.

Not that I'm aware of, but you could message Carl through the GGB site.

Carl provides NATO's with a wide range of buckle options, the one here is specific to the Scramble but generic 6B buckles are available.

Or you can ask Carl to provide a custom-made one:

    Love the box and presentation.

Nice watch too; the face isn't for me, prefer them more '3D' like, but the rest is lovely.

The packaging shows real attention to detail just as you would expect if you had ever tried Carl's quality straps. Very nice.
The watch is not bad either :-)

Here it is on the Admiralty Grey Phoenix NATO. I love the way that the dial shifts between jet black and slate grey depending on the illumination and how the sub-dials catch the light.

This is rapidly becoming my go-to travel watch and a firm favourite. I've been yomping all over The Sacred Valley with it during the past couple of days and it has been just excellent. Superb legibility, extremely comfortable and timekeeping is spot on.

    Super cool!

I do enjoy the idea of paying such an amount for such a beautiful thing, the unboxing being an event in itself.
