    16710 bezel insert change

    Hi all

I've been wanting to change the bezel insert on my 16710 from all black to pepsi.

Been quoted £140 + VAT for change (incl the insert itself) or £70 + VAT just for change itself in London. Does anyone have any recommendations on where to go in London and the costs involved? I already have a pepsi insert, but there are a few scratches, so am looking at getting a new one (but depends on cost ultimately).

I've seen lots of guides demonstrating the change itself, but I don't have the heart.

    Thanks in advance!

Why don't you just stroll down to St James?

I would imagine down in the big smoke you would have hundreds of options available to you.
My nearest AD is 3 hours away!
As mentioned above St James is surely the best option?

From memory Rolex St James will do it for £55 plus you'll get a receipt from Rolex which is good.

Though at that price I do think they will keep the old bezel so depends on what is most important to you.

When I did it, it was £37 exchange or £55 to keep the old bezel. Needless to say I paid the £55 and have a nice crisp coke bezel along with the original faded bezel in the complimentary bezel tin.

Though make sure you are happy with the provenance of your watch before you pop in to St James!

I've heard stories of owners getting a nasty surprise finding out their watch is on the stolen list from many years previous.

Sounds like a very expensive surprise!

    Thanks for the replies.

I have called St James and they have indeed quoted the same (£37 exchange or £55 to keep the old bezel).

    Much appreciate!
