Just tapping into the TZ fountain of all practical knowledge.

I have to change a current thermostatic shower mixer, and want to replace it with a bog standard thermostatic bar mixer. Looking at the photos I've attached is this possible? I've looked at some youtube of replacing bar mixer, and it just looks like screw off and screw on.

However, since this isn't a standard bar mixer I can't tell if this also just screws off. I thought I'd ask for advice as I don't want to turn the water off and get half way through the job and find I'm buggered and can't turn the water back on.

The distance between the cente of the hot and cold feed pipe is 6" (150 mm), so that appears promising.

Any thought? (note the brown packing tape is holiding the on/off valve in place preventing the house being flooded while we're at work!)
