Starting to get quite interesting here in Co Armagh. Local police saying 4 separate incidents of trees down and obstructing roads plus a trampoline has just been removed from a road! Looks like the worst will hit us about 1900.
Someone taking photos of the storm gets washed off a breakwater somewhere.

Ignorance breeds Fear. Fear breeds Hatred. Hatred breeds Ignorance. Break the chain.
Yep really weird in Central London, all the street lights have come on and the lights in the buildings really glowing, can see Canary Wharf and
the lights on some of the buildings so bright you would guess it was 7pm.
Just went outside to try take photo but the phone camera brightens the picture too much.
Spoke to a client in Dublin 5 minutes ago, their office was closed for the day and said is in the park with His kids, and its 21 degrees and bright sunshine...
In the last 15 minutes it's returned to near normal lighting colour. The yellow layer of cloud was clearly visible as a distinct mass of cloud as it moved away in an easterly direction and was replaced by the usual washed out white overcast (still with a slight tinge of yellow, though).
Just watching some applicants for this year's Darwin awards on the news - including one man who has gone for a swim in Salthill, Co Galway - should be left to drown if they get into difficulties.
Schools to stay closed here in NI tomorrow. A rather delighted 12 year old in my house!
Meanwhile... a serious amount of power cuts in my area so far: https://powercheck.nienetworks.co.uk/

Some others aren't too happy: link.
Not as bad as Ireland, but heck, we are getting a kicking
To see some of what's gone on, have a look at Met Éireann on Twitter: link:
Still gusting in the high 90's around our coasts this evening."
A selection of some of our strongest gusts today (km/h):
Fastnet Lightnouse 191
Roches Point 156
Kinsale Platform 141
Plus pictures and video.
90 kph = 56 mph
190 kph = 118 mph
Edit: I'm not sure whereabouts in N Wales you're based, but Aberdaron recorded 63 mph, gusting 90 mph, at 16h00 this afternoon. While here in the SE where I am, the highest we got was 19 mph and gusts of up to 38 mph.

Starting to get very windy now here in hull

marchingontogether!
This weekend it's STORM BRIAN: Storm Brian has officially been named by Met Éireann, the Irish National Meteorological Service. It will bring strong winds to Ireland and the UK on Saturday.
I've got yellow warnings for wind, rain and fog today and Saturday. Not sure where it's going tomorrow.
I suppose that’s the one I refered too a few days back.
Latest forecasts show nothing special for us this weekend. Currently, all temp records (highs) are broken. Day after day - since last Friday. The temps will drop to ‘normal’ next Saturday.
It's lagging it down here, quite a little river running down the road.

Whole chunks of my life come under the heading "it seemed like a good idea at the time".
Good Lord...the French are naming our storms: Storm David...
